This is a good time of year. Sure, for some a season of cyclocross is just getting underway, but for most, its time to wind down and enjoy the basics of cycling.
Despite their appearances, these guys are enjoying themselves. A short ride, a walk-in cooler, and an easy spin home.
Revelation of the Ride:
Expecting Dad No.1: "You know, she's off for the first year. It won't be that much work, right?....."
Dads No.2-4: "....yeah, right." [lots of laughter]
The takeaway: For the soon to be dads out there, apparently there is not much work in the first year of fatherhood. A cake-walk if you will.

Should be some MaxEdge guys out. Weather looks good, course sounds good, hopefully lots of people.
ReplyDeleteAn 8 hour solo is a good wind down, right?
JLo has been coaching a few guys with his mtb prowess...pedal....crash...pedal...crash, etc.
PS.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone guess what Tommy's waxing poetically about in the above pic?
About someone's weight? or giving some sweet tips on riding
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI was inquiring, not 'calling out'. I try to save my call-outs for hot dog eating contests, street hockey games and arm wrestling... riding a bike around Wheatley for 8 hours, that is just for fun!

ReplyDeleteExpecting Dad #1 - O.k. baby is not even born yet and I missed the 8 hour Sunday because of baby shower, I also missed the Monday Max Edge ride tonight because my wife wanted to get pictures done of her pregnant with me in the background. Pictures started at 4:00 and didn't finish until 6:15. Wasn't expecting that I would miss the ride tonight, figured an hour at the most. See you next Monday, I hope.
ReplyDeleteI am going to be on my 3rd child Sept 30th and I don't think it gets any easier. It is what your wife wants and you pretty much have to say yes.
