Riding with a new group is a lot like finding new roads - a pleasant change of pace. A small group met up with a large group for the 'Espresso' ride from the Bicycle Shop/Second Cup coffee bar.
Approximately 30 plus riders braved the threatening skies for a spin East. The ride started out with a real urban/criterium feel, snaking through subdivisions and neighborhoods, before hitting some open county roads and eventually heading home [at a slightly increased pace].
Vocally organized and friendly, this group ride is open to all [ALL=30+km/h and longer distances] and offers another option for your weekend ventures.

Every July the best cyclists take part in the Tour de France. You can have
a few exceptions but they often just prove the rule. But what would it take
to...
I got left behind 4km into the ride. I'd like to thank my teammates for coming back to get me and helping me in my time of need. As a side note any teams looking for new riders I'm interested.

I find it hard to believe you got left behind. Was it raining during those first 4 km or was there gravel roads ?
ReplyDeleteThe rain had stopped and no gravel roads, just good old fashion group riding.
ReplyDelete*I may have popped into my house to get a vest and arm warmers at the 4km mark...
